Adamawa State Police Command Arrests 58 Suspected Criminals
The Adamawa State Police Command has conducted a successful raid across various locations in the state, resulting in the arrest of 58 suspected criminals. Commissioner of Police, Mr. Dankombo Morris, made this announcement during a press briefing in Yola, the state capital.
Among the apprehended individuals, 40 are believed to be affiliated with the notorious group known as 'Shila boys.' Furthermore, 11 suspects were detained on charges of kidnapping, while seven were apprehended for armed robbery offenses.
Commissioner Morris assured the public that thorough investigations are underway, and those found guilty will be prosecuted accordingly. The police operation led to the recovery of valuable assets, including a Toyota Prado Jeep, an 18-seat bus, two AK-47 rifles with ammunition, cash, charms, and electronic devices.
The Commissioner urged the public to continue supporting law enforcement efforts by providing useful information. He emphasized the collaboration between the police and other security agencies to ensure effective service delivery and maintain public safety.
